Each stroke patient has different symptoms.
Disease description:
Grandma often gets sick. In the past two days, she was taken in for a stroke evaluation. I'd like to ask, what are the symptoms of a stroke?
1. Impaired consciousness. In terms of consciousness, stroke symptoms include mental confusion, excessive drowsiness, or lethargy throughout the day. Many patients frequently yawn due to cerebral ischemia and hypoxia.
2. Language disturbances. The most common symptom before a stroke is language impairment, mainly manifested as difficulty finding words, slurred speech, and trouble with pronunciation.
3. Visual abnormalities. Prior to a stroke, some patients often experience visual disturbances, which are frequently the earliest warning signs of stroke, primarily presenting as transient monocular blindness (amaurosis fugax).
