Testing of six hormones simultaneously may also be performed to evaluate whether ovarian endocrine function is abnormal. However, for women who are sexually active, cervical examinations should be considered, as abnormal vaginal bleeding is often caused by cervical conditions. This may include gynecological internal examination, colposcopy, and even cervical TCT and HPV screening.
