Disease description:

The lumbar muscles refer to the relatively long, spindle-shaped muscles located in our lower back. If we are not careful during exercise, it can lead to injury of the large lumbar muscle. I would like to ask, what are the symptoms of a large lumbar muscle injury?

The main symptoms of lumbar muscle strain include aching, pain, or spasms on one or both sides of the lower back. Pain may lessen when lying down but becomes more noticeable when sitting or standing. Injury to the psoas major muscle may result from an acute lumbar sprain or be related to chronic lumbar muscle overuse. In some patients, lumbar muscle strain manifests primarily as pain, which may worsen with bending forward. Other patients may also experience symptoms of sciatica.
