Symptoms of concussion may appear the next day. On the second day, you may experience headaches, dizziness, and nausea. Some patients may have mild vomiting. In addition, other individuals may develop sleep disturbances at night, such as difficulty falling asleep, insomnia, vivid dreams, and restless sleep, among other clinical symptoms. Experiencing these symptoms is completely normal. Generally, after a period of rest—usually around two weeks—the patient's symptoms gradually improve, and symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea, and dry heaving will progressively diminish and eventually disappear.
