Is the H1N1 virus a coronavirus?
Disease description:
Recently, there has been an outbreak of the novel coronavirus. I would like to ask: is the H1N1 influenza virus a type of coronavirus?
The H1N1 virus does not belong to the coronavirus family. Influenza A and novel coronavirus infection are two distinct conditions. Influenza A is a respiratory disease primarily caused by the influenza A virus. The novel coronavirus is a newly discovered virus, an RNA virus belonging to the coronavirus family. Clinically, it mainly presents with symptoms such as fever, dry cough, and fatigue. Some patients may also experience pharyngitis, nasal congestion, runny nose, headache, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
