Differences between symptoms of H1N1 flu and the common cold
Disease description:
A friend has recently been experiencing dizziness, body aches, and fever. They're unsure whether it's a common cold or an H1N1 influenza infection, and would like to know the differences between the symptoms of H1N1 and the common cold.
The symptoms of H1N1 influenza differ from those of the common cold, primarily in their severity. Typically, H1N1 flu symptoms are more severe and manifest as systemic symptoms, including body aches, fatigue, fever, headache, sore throat, coughing, and may also lead to certain complications. In contrast, the common cold mainly presents with respiratory symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, dry mouth, and sore throat.
