诺如病毒检测通常采用血清学检测Method，即使用抗原和抗Physical Examination测血清中的病毒抗原和病毒抗体，以确定病毒感染。也可以使用其他感染检测Method，如血清学技术，荧光原位杂交等，可以直接检测病毒核酸。此外，还可以使用Immunity组化技术对病毒抗原进行检测，并用抗体和定量PCR检测抗原的存在。
