Common causes of coccyx tip pain in a 10-year-old child are varied. The most frequent causes are disc herniation and lumbar discitis, as swelling within the intervertebral discs can compress the coccyx tip and cause pain. Other possible causes include muscle strain, tendonitis, tendon rupture, disc tumors, and disc protrusion.
