Disease description:
What should be done if a child's myocardium is affected?
When children have myocardial involvement, the following measures are generally recommended:
1. Ensure adequate rest and sleep, and avoid strenuous physical activity and fatigue.
2. Depending on the clinical condition, medications that improve myocardial metabolism and cardiac function—such as vitamin C, coenzyme Q10, and fructose—may be used.
3. If myocardial involvement causes difficulty breathing or tissue hypoxia, oxygen therapy may be considered.
4. In severe cases where cardiac function is significantly impaired, surgical intervention may be necessary.
