What are the symptoms of premature beats?
Disease description:
Recently, I've been experiencing unexplained rapid heartbeat. A friend mentioned it might be premature beats. Could you tell me what symptoms premature beats have?
Premature beats are a type of arrhythmia characterized by heartbeats that occur outside the normal heart rate range (60–100 beats per minute). Symptoms of premature beats vary, with the most common including palpitations, dizziness, chest tightness, shortness of breath, tachycardia, irregular heartbeat, dyspnea, persistent headache, and cardiac discomfort. Some patients may also experience nausea, vomiting, elevated or lowered blood pressure, muscle tension, and fatigue. Premature beats can be either occasional or persistent. If any of the above symptoms occur, prompt medical attention is necessary to avoid delaying diagnosis and treatment.
