Can Lianhua Qingwen treat influenza A?

Influenza A refers to the influenza A virus. Lianhua Qingwen can help alleviate symptoms caused by the influenza A virus, but it cannot directly cure the disease. Lianhua Qingwen is a traditional Chinese patent medicine that functions to clear away epidemic toxins, ventilate the lungs, and relieve heat. When appropriately used, it can improve symptoms of influenza A such as high fever, chills, dry and sore throat, fatigue, and weakness. However, it does not suppress the progression of the influenza A virus. Therefore, using this medication alone generally cannot cure the illness.
