How to Determine if You Have Contracted Influenza A
Disease description:
Recently, many people around me have been infected with H1N1 flu. I would like to know how to determine whether I have contracted H1N1 flu.
How to determine if infected with influenza A:
Clinical symptoms: Patients may experience sore throat, cough, fever, headache, and body weakness.
Antigen testing: You can purchase an influenza A virus antigen test kit from a pharmacy. A positive result indicates infection.
Blood tests: Patients can go to a hospital for blood tests to check for the presence of influenza A virus in the body.
Exposure history: If during an influenza A outbreak, you have visited an affected area or had close contact with an infected person within 7 days prior to symptom onset, you may have contracted influenza A.
