What are the symptoms of small lung nodules?
Disease description:
What are the symptoms of small lung nodules?
Pulmonary small nodules refer to round or oval lesions found in lung tissue with a diameter less than 3 centimeters. In most cases, pulmonary small nodules are asymptomatic and can only be detected through imaging examinations such as X-ray or CT. However, in some instances, symptoms such as cough, sputum production, chest tightness, and shortness of breath may occur; these symptoms are related to the location, size, and number of the nodules. If the nodules are located near the trachea or bronchi, airway-related symptoms may appear. If the nodules are large in size or numerous, they may impair lung function and lead to difficulty breathing.
