百日咳的特征
Pertussis is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by Bordetella pertussis. Its most prominent feature is paroxysmal, spasmodic coughing, followed at the end of each coughing episode by a prolonged, high-pitched inspiratory whoop resembling a crowing sound. In addition, patients may experience symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection such as fever, runny nose, and sneezing. Pertussis has a prolonged course, lasting 2–3 months, hence the name "pertussis" (hundred-day cough). Treatment primarily involves antibiotic therapy and symptomatic management, along with strengthened prevention measures and control of infection sources.
