Elevated intraocular pressure can be caused by various factors. On one hand, excessive production of aqueous humor or impaired drainage may lead to increased eye pressure. For example, eye diseases such as glaucoma and cataracts, or eye strain and poor visual habits—such as prolonged熬夜 (staying up late) and excessive use of electronic devices—may trigger this condition. On the other hand, underlying systemic conditions including high myopia, diabetes, and hypertension, as well as long-term use of certain medications such as corticosteroids, may also contribute to elevated intraocular pressure.
