Pay attention to a healthy diet. A balanced diet helps maintain the health of teeth and gums. Consuming more foods rich in vitamin C and vitamin A, such as fresh vegetables and fruits, can enhance the elasticity and resistance of gum tissue. At the same time, reducing intake of sweets and carbonated drinks helps decrease acidity on the tooth surface, thus protecting the gums. When brushing your teeth, use the correct technique: hold the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to the teeth and brush gently—avoid brushing too hard. Overly vigorous brushing can damage gum tissue and lead to gum recession.
