What are the types of hepatitis?
I myself am a hepatitis virus carrier. Because of this virus, I don't even dare to enter into a romantic relationship, yet my family still expects me to settle down and build a career. So, what are the different types of hepatitis?
Hepatitis can be classified into several types according to different criteria. Based on etiology, hepatitis is categorized into viral hepatitis, alcoholic hepatitis, drug-induced hepatitis, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and autoimmune hepatitis. Among these, viral hepatitis is the most common type and can be further divided into hepatitis A, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, hepatitis D, and hepatitis E. According to disease duration, hepatitis is classified as acute or chronic. Acute hepatitis, such as hepatitis A and E, usually has a short course, whereas hepatitis B and C may progress to chronic hepatitis.
In addition, hepatitis can also be classified according to clinical presentation into acute icteric hepatitis and acute anicteric hepatitis, and by severity into mild, moderate, and severe forms. Each type of hepatitis has its specific causes, clinical manifestations, and treatment approaches. If you suspect you have hepatitis, it is important to seek medical attention promptly.
