Can I use a face mask after removing a mole?

Disease description:

I had a mole removed with laser treatment two days ago, and it has now formed a scab. However, my doctor advised me not to get it wet, as this could easily lead to scar hypertrophy. Now I want to apply a facial mask but I'm worried it might affect the healing process. Can I use a face mask after mole removal? What should I pay attention to?

It is not recommended to apply facial masks immediately after mole removal. After mole removal, there is an open wound on the skin, and applying a mask at this stage may allow chemicals in the mask to penetrate the skin's surface, impairing healing and potentially causing infection. Especially during the scabbing phase, which lasts about one week, facial masks should be avoided to minimize irritation and burden on the skin. You should wait until the skin has fully healed and the scab has naturally fallen off before considering using a facial mask. Once the scab has detached, if you do need to use a mask, it is advisable to choose a medical-grade mask, as these are sterile and some contain growth-promoting factors that aid skin recovery. Avoid masks containing alcohol or harsh chemicals, which may irritate the facial skin. Additionally, after mole removal, sun protection is essential to prevent pigment deposition, and a light diet is recommended, avoiding foods high in pigmentation.
