After kidney stone removal via flexible ureteroscopy, the body requires a certain recovery period. Generally, the recovery time varies among individuals, but most patients can gradually resume normal activities, including sexual intercourse, within 2 to 4 weeks after surgery. However, the exact timing for resuming sexual activity should follow the doctor's advice. In the initial postoperative phase, strenuous exercise and any activities that may increase abdominal pressure should be avoided to prevent interference with wound healing. When pain has subsided, urine color has returned to normal, and the doctor confirms no complications during follow-up examination, it may be appropriate to gradually resume sexual activity—provided that it does not cause discomfort or pain. Additionally, if anesthesia was used during surgery, libido and sexual function might be temporarily affected; this is usually temporary. If you have any concerns or experience discomfort, consult your doctor immediately.
