What can a 5-month-old baby do?
Disease description:
My baby is 5 months old and learns new skills every day. What can a 5-month-old baby do?
Skills a 5-month-old baby may have developed:
1. Motor skills: Most babies at this age can roll over skillfully, turning from the supine position to the side-lying position, or from the side-lying to the prone position. Some babies may even be able to sit with support or lean while sitting, although they generally cannot sit independently yet. In terms of fine motor skills, babies enjoy sucking their hands and can accurately bite their little fingers. They also reach out to grasp toys, gradually gaining better control over finger movements.
2. Language skills: Babies begin entering the babbling stage, producing multiple vowel sounds such as "ba," "ma," and "pa." However, these sounds are not conscious attempts to say "daddy" or "mama," but rather unconscious vocal imitation.
3. Social skills: Babies start to distinguish among different family members and tend to smile at familiar, close caregivers, showing signs of affection and recognition.
