Is thread lifting painful?
I've recently been considering getting a thread lift rhinoplasty. People say that having a higher nose bridge makes your face look better, and I feel that thread lift rhinoplasty appears natural. However, I'm quite sensitive to pain, so I'd like to ask: does a nose thread lift hurt a lot?
Thread lifting surgery usually involves some degree of pain during the procedure, but it is generally mild and tolerable. During surgery, the doctor will inject anesthetic to minimize discomfort, so patients typically do not feel significant pain while the procedure is being performed.
After the anesthesia wears off, patients may experience mild pain or a prickling sensation, primarily due to skin trauma and tension from the threads. In most cases, this discomfort gradually subsides within three to five days after the procedure. If a patient experiences unbearable pain during the surgery, they should communicate with the doctor, who may administer additional local anesthetic or deeper anesthesia to alleviate discomfort.
Patients should have thorough discussions with their doctor before surgery to understand the procedure, potential risks, and postoperative care. Maintaining cleanliness and dryness of the treated area and following the doctor's instructions for aftercare can effectively reduce discomfort and promote recovery.
