What is H3N2 influenza
Disease description:
In the past few days, I've been feeling unwell. After a hospital checkup, I was diagnosed with H3N2 influenza. What is H3N2 influenza?
H3N2 influenza is a respiratory disease caused by the influenza A H3N2 virus. It can spread through the respiratory tracts of various animals, including dogs, chickens, and ducks, and primarily spreads among humans via respiratory droplets, contact with mucous membranes, and direct contact. Symptoms of H3N2 influenza are similar to those of seasonal flu, including fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills, and fatigue. Sometimes, symptoms may also include diarrhea and vomiting. In severe cases, it can lead to pneumonia and respiratory failure, even resulting in death. Effective preventive measures against H3N2 influenza include vaccination, maintaining good personal hygiene habits, and regular physical exercise.
