Symptoms of trachoma
Disease description:
My eyes are now constantly producing a lot of discharge, and my vision is blurry. I've used medication for conjunctivitis, but it hasn't helped. I heard trachoma may cause similar symptoms. I would like to know what the symptoms of trachoma are.

The symptoms of trachoma mainly include the following aspects:
1. Eye discomfort: Trachoma can make the eyes sensitive, causing photophobia and tearing, especially outdoors or in sunlight, where one may involuntarily tear up.
2. Redness and pain in the eye: Due to infection by Chlamydia trachomatis, the conjunctiva becomes congested, leading to red eyes accompanied by pain.
3. Vision loss: As the disease progresses, trachoma damages the cornea, thereby affecting vision and causing gradual decline in visual acuity.
4. Itching in the eye: Trachoma may also cause itching in the eyes, prompting individuals to rub their eyes unconsciously.
5. Conjunctival concretions: In the late stages of trachoma, due to local accumulation of conjunctival epithelial cells and secretions, stones may form on the surface of the conjunctiva.
