The causes of ADHD in one-year-old children may involve multiple aspects:
1. Genetic factors: Approximately one-third to one-half of ADHD cases involve genetic risks. If either parent has ADHD, the child's risk of developing the condition increases.
2. Abnormal brain development: ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder, and abnormalities in brain structure and function are closely associated with its occurrence. For example, a smaller prefrontal cortex and frontal cortical regions, as well as abnormal neural circuit activity, may impair a child's behavioral control.
3. Environmental factors: Exposure to harmful substances, infections, or trauma during pregnancy or early childhood may disrupt normal brain development and increase the risk of ADHD.
