What causes a patch of hair loss on the head?
Disease description:
Recently, my colleague told me that there is a bald spot on my head. How come there is a patch of hair loss on my head?
Hair loss on the head may be caused by various factors. Malnutrition could be a significant contributing factor, such as long-term picky eating or selective eating habits that lead to deficiencies in vitamins, proteins, and other essential nutrients, thereby affecting hair growth. Endocrine disorders may also cause hair loss; for example, factors such as chronic late-night sleep, excessive mental stress, and other issues may lead to hormonal imbalances within the body. Scalp diseases, such as tinea capitis (ringworm of the scalp), seborrheic dermatitis, and folliculitis, may also result in localized hair loss. Poor hair care habits, such as vigorous brushing or wearing tight hair clips, may also lead to hair loss due to pulling. To improve this condition, it is recommended to maintain healthy lifestyle habits, adjust dietary intake, and seek timely medical treatment when necessary.
