I previously went to the hospital for a checkup, and the doctor diagnosed me with leukemia. I would like to understand more about which populations are commonly affected by central nervous system leukemia.

Dr. Liu Feng
The common populations for central nervous system leukemia (CNSL) mainly include the following two groups: 1. Workers exposed to chemical substances: Due to long-term or frequent contact with chemicals such as benzene, this group faces an increased risk of developing CNSL. Exposure to chemical agents, especially benzene, is closely associated with the development of CNSL. 2. Children: Particularly children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), as leukemia cells tend to infiltrate the central nervous system, making CNSL especially common in this group. The incidence rate of CNSL among children with ALL is 26% to 80%. These two groups are considered high-risk populations for CNSL due to specific exposure factors or disease conditions.
