What causes bad breath when speaking?
Disease description:
I have noticed bad breath over the past two days, especially when speaking. I would like to know what causes bad breath when talking.
The causes of bad breath can be attributed to multiple factors:
1. Oral diseases such as dental caries, periodontitis, and gingivitis are common causes. These conditions lead to excessive bacterial growth in the mouth, resulting in the breakdown of substances that produce sulfur compounds, thereby causing bad breath.
2. Unhealthy lifestyle habits, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and regularly eating strongly odorous foods like onions, ginger, and garlic, can also contribute to bad breath.
3. Gastrointestinal dysfunction, such as indigestion and chronic gastritis, can similarly lead to bad breath, as these conditions may impair digestion and excretion, leading to the production of foul odors within the body.
4. Long-term constipation and Helicobacter pylori infection can also cause bad breath.
To improve bad breath, it is recommended to maintain good oral hygiene, undergo regular dental check-ups and treatment, adjust dietary habits, support healthy gastrointestinal function, and actively treat related conditions such as constipation and Helicobacter pylori infection.
