What are the symptoms of chronic appendicitis?
Disease description:
During a physical examination, I was diagnosed with chronic appendicitis. My right abdomen occasionally hurts. What are the symptoms of chronic appendicitis?

The manifestations of chronic appendicitis mainly include:
1. Abdominal pain: This is a typical symptom of chronic appendicitis. The pain is usually located in the lower right abdomen and presents as intermittent dull or distending pain, varying in intensity.
2. Gastrointestinal reactions: Patients may experience varying degrees of indigestion and loss of appetite. In prolonged cases, weight loss and decreased body weight may occur; elderly patients may also have constipation.
3. Abdominal tenderness: This is the only physical sign of chronic appendicitis. The tenderness is generally located in the lower right abdomen, remains in a fixed position, but covers a small area and is only elicited upon firm pressure.
If the above symptoms occur, timely medical consultation and examination are recommended.
