Dr. Liu Feng
Blood type hemolysis refers to the phenomenon of massive red blood cell lysis caused by blood type incompatibility when two different blood types are mixed. It is specifically characterized by damage and rupture of the red blood cell membrane, leading to the release of intracellular contents into the bloodstream, which may trigger a series of systemic or clinical symptoms. For example, when bilirubin is released into the blood beyond the compensatory capacity of the liver, jaundice may occur. In addition, hemolysis may cause acute symptoms such as chills, high fever, back pain, nausea, and vomiting. In severe cases, it can even lead to shock or death. Blood type hemolysis is a medical phenomenon that requires sufficient attention. If severe symptoms occur, immediate medical treatment is recommended.
