Why am I getting a lot of pimples?
Disease description:
After washing my face and applying a facial mask at night, I noticed that I had developed many pimples on my face. Why is this?
Acne may be caused by multiple factors, mainly including:
1. Hormonal changes: During puberty, increased secretion of androgens leads to enhanced sebaceous gland activity and excessive sebum production, which may result in acne.
2. Excessive sebum production: Individuals with oily skin may experience overproduction of sebum, which can easily clog pores and lead to acne.
3. Follicular blockage: When sebum within hair follicles cannot drain properly, it can cause blockage of the sebaceous follicle duct, resulting in whiteheads or blackheads.
4. Diet and lifestyle: Consuming spicy or irritating foods, as well as unhealthy lifestyle habits such as chronic late-night stays and excessive fatigue, may contribute to the formation of acne.
5. Infection: Infection caused by pathogens such as bacteria or fungi within hair follicles can also lead to acne problems.
To prevent and improve acne, it is recommended to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle, regularly cleanse the skin, avoid harmful irritants, and seek medical treatment when necessary.
