Henoch-Schönlein purpura nephritis, also known as allergic purpura nephritis, is a pathological kidney injury caused by Henoch-Schönlein purpura. 1. Etiology: It is mostly caused by defects in the body's immune regulatory mechanisms, leading to abnormal deposition of immune complexes in the glomeruli, which causes kidney damage. 2. Clinical manifestations: Skin purpura (mainly on the extensor surfaces of the lower limbs), joint pain (commonly seen in the ankles and knees), abdominal pain, and even gastrointestinal bleeding. Hematuria, proteinuria, edema, hypertension, and abnormal kidney function may also occur. 3. Complications: It may be accompanied by cardiovascular system lesions, neuropsychiatric symptoms (such as impaired consciousness, muscle spasms), respiratory tract infections, and sexual dysfunction. 4. Treatment: A comprehensive treatment approach is usually adopted, including corticosteroid therapy, immunosuppressive therapy, antiplatelet therapy, anticoagulant therapy, and uric acid-lowering therapy. Treatment plans should be individualized according to the patient's specific condition.
