What are the causes of acute suppurative appendicitis with peria appendiceal abscess?
Disease description:
One of my friends experienced stomach pain today and was diagnosed with acute suppurative appendicitis at the hospital. There is now also an abscess surrounding the appendix. May I ask what could have caused this condition?

The causes of acute suppurative appendicitis with peria appendiceal abscess include:
1. Primary cause: Untimely or ineffective treatment of acute suppurative appendicitis leads to further progression of inflammation, resulting in suppuration, gangrene, or even perforation of the appendix.
2. Predisposing factors: Intestinal foreign bodies or consumption of unclean food may damage the intestinal mucosa, allowing bacterial invasion, which can trigger acute appendicitis and potentially progress to a peria appendiceal abscess.
3. Pathological process: Following appendiceal perforation, accumulation of pus occurs, and surrounding tissues encapsulate the pus, forming adhesions that prevent further spread of inflammation, thus leading to the formation of a peria appendiceal abscess.
