When suffering from tinea capitis (scalp ringworm), timely comprehensive treatment measures should be taken. Keep the scalp clean and dry, and avoid scratching the affected area to prevent worsening of the condition. Under a doctor's guidance, antifungal medications can be used for treatment, such as topical agents like miconazole nitrate cream or ketoconazole cream, or oral medications like itraconazole and terbinafine. If the condition is severe, physical therapies such as ultraviolet irradiation may also be considered to promote resolution of the inflammation. In addition, regularly disinfect daily necessities that have been used, such as towels and pillowcases, to prevent recurrent bacterial infection. Most importantly, follow the doctor's instructions and complete the entire course of treatment to ensure a complete cure for tinea capitis.
