How can I know if I have finished ovulating?
Disease description:
I am 26 years old and recently got married, but we don't plan to have children in the next two years. I would like to ask the doctor how can I know that I have already ovulated?
To determine whether ovulation has occurred, you can use the following methods:
1. **Ultrasound examination**: Ovulation can be monitored by B-ultrasound to observe follicular development and ovulation. When the follicle diameter reaches more than 18mm, it indicates a dominant follicle, which may lead to ovulation.
2. **Ovulation test strips**: Begin using ovulation test strips on the 10th day of your menstrual cycle and test every 1–2 days. When the result changes from weakly positive to strongly positive, and then back to weakly positive, it indicates that ovulation has occurred. This method is simple and convenient, suitable for home testing.
3. **Progesterone level testing**: Measure progesterone levels approximately 5–9 days before the next expected menstrual period. A significant increase in progesterone levels typically indicates that ovulation has occurred.
