Why does embryonic stoppage still occur even when the fetal heartbeat and fetal bud have appeared?
Disease description:
I've been pregnant for four months, and recently I encountered an issue that has left me very confused. The fetal heartbeat and fetal bud have both appeared, so why did the fetal development still stop?
There are multiple reasons for embryonic arrest even after the fetal heartbeat and fetal bud have appeared, mainly including:
1. Embryonic factors: Abnormalities in the number or structure of embryonic chromosomes are the main causes of embryonic arrest.
2. Maternal factors: Systemic diseases in the mother (such as infections, hypertension, kidney disease, etc.), endocrine abnormalities (such as luteal phase defect, low progesterone levels), uterine abnormalities (such as underdevelopment, small uterine cavity), or immune system abnormalities can all potentially lead to embryonic arrest.
3. Paternal factors: Microdeletions or duplications in the sperm chromosomes may also increase the risk of embryonic arrest.
4. Environmental factors: Exposure to harmful substances such as radiation, pesticides, insecticides, or being in a high-temperature environment may also lead to embryonic arrest.
