Vaginal laxity may occur after cesarean section, but the degree is generally mild. This laxity is mainly caused by multiple factors: 1. Effects of pregnancy itself: Whether delivering vaginally or by cesarean section, during pregnancy, under the influence of progesterone, the pelvic floor becomes relaxed. As gestational age increases, the fetus continues to grow and moves downward, increasing pressure on the pelvic floor. This can cause varying degrees of damage to the pelvic floor muscles and ligaments, and even lead to dysfunction. 2. Effects of the mode of delivery: Although the baby is not delivered through the vagina during cesarean section, pressure and damage to the pelvic floor already exist during pregnancy; therefore, the vagina may still exhibit a certain degree of laxity. Additionally, vaginal laxity is a natural phenomenon after pregnancy and usually improves gradually after the baby is born.
