Tinea cruris and scrotal eczema have significant differences in several aspects. 1. In terms of etiology, tinea cruris is mainly caused by fungal infection, while scrotal eczema is associated with abnormal immune function, contact allergens, and other factors. Its exact cause is complex and difficult to determine. 2. Regarding affected locations, tinea cruris primarily occurs in the groin, perianal area, perineum, and buttocks, whereas scrotal eczema mainly affects the skin of the scrotum and may extend to both groins and even the anal region. 3. Concerning skin lesion presentations, tinea cruris typically presents as annular erythematous patches with scaling, while scrotal eczema may exhibit various forms of skin lesions including erythema, papules, erosion, and exudation. 4. Regarding contagiousness, tinea cruris is contagious, whereas scrotal eczema is not. When related symptoms occur, timely medical consultation and treatment are recommended.
