Dr. Wang Xiaoyan
The treatment for miliaria (heat rash) mainly includes the following points: 1. Environmental adjustment: Ensure proper ventilation indoors, maintain a cool and dry environment, and avoid staying in high temperature and humid conditions for long periods to reduce perspiration and help the rash subside. 2. Skin care: Bathe frequently to keep the skin clean and dry. Use lukewarm water for bathing, avoid using strongly alkaline soaps to reduce irritation, and apply talcum powder after washing to help prevent recurrence of heat rash. 3. Topical medications: For rashes with obvious symptoms, topical agents such as calamine lotion and talcum powder can be used to achieve cooling, astringent, and anti-itch effects. If infection occurs, topical antibiotic ointments such as erythromycin ointment may be used. 4. Dietary adjustment: Drink heat-clearing and summerheat-resolving beverages such as mung bean soup and honeysuckle dew to help eliminate internal heat and alleviate symptoms of heat rash. 5. Avoid scratching: Avoid scratching the affected areas to prevent infection or worsening of symptoms. If symptoms of heat rash are severe or persist, seek medical attention promptly.
