The best treatment for synovitis with effusion
Disease description:
I have synovitis in my joints, and sometimes it's very painful. I would like to know what is the best treatment for joint effusion caused by synovitis?

Synovitis-induced joint effusion is usually caused by an inflammatory response. Treatment should be individualized, with the main goals being symptom relief, inflammation control, and restoration of joint function. The following are common treatment approaches:
1. Non-pharmacological treatment: Includes rest, application of cold or heat, and physical therapy (such as ultrasound therapy, electrotherapy, etc.).
2. Pharmacological treatment: Includes non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g., ibuprofen), intra-articular corticosteroid injections, and joint aspiration.
3. Etiological treatment: If synovitis is caused by infection, antibiotic treatment may be required; if it is due to an autoimmune disease, immunosuppressants or disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs may be needed.
4. Surgical treatment: For refractory synovitis, especially when medications and conservative treatments are ineffective, surgical removal of the affected synovium may be necessary.
5. Lifestyle modifications: Maintaining a healthy weight to reduce joint stress, following a balanced diet, enhancing immunity, and avoiding repetitive or excessive activities that cause inflammation.
