Whiteheads, also known as closed comedones, are a common manifestation of acne. Methods for managing whiteheads mainly include: 1. Skin cleansing: Thoroughly clean the skin using a mild acidic facial cleanser, especially removing makeup completely after application, to maintain clean skin and prevent pore blockage. 2. Medication: Under a doctor's guidance, topical medications such as tretinoin cream or adapalene gel may be used to promote comedone dissolution and removal. For severe cases, oral isotretinoin soft capsules may be added as part of the treatment. 3. Cosmetic treatments: If the above methods are ineffective, cosmetic procedures such as chemical peels, photorejuvenation, or laser treatments may be considered to chemically or physically remove whiteheads. 4. Daily care: Pay attention to sun protection when outdoors, selecting suitable sunscreen or primer products; maintain a balanced diet and avoid spicy or greasy foods; ensure sufficient sleep and minimize late-night activities.
