What should I do about dark yellow skin with melasma?
Disease description:
I am 37 years old. Recently, while taking a shower, I noticed patches on my skin, and until now, I haven't seen any improvement. The doctor diagnosed it as chloasma. I would like to know what to do about having a sallow complexion and chloasma?

The issue of dull, yellowish skin accompanied by melasma can be improved through the following measures:
1. Adjust lifestyle habits: Ensure adequate sleep, avoid staying up late, and maintain a regular routine to help regulate endocrine function and improve dull skin. Additionally, maintaining emotional stability and avoiding excessive anxiety and stress is also beneficial for skin health.
2. Sun protection: Ultraviolet radiation is a major factor contributing to skin dullness and melasma; therefore, protective measures should be taken when outdoors, such as applying sunscreen, wearing wide-brimmed hats, and using umbrellas to reduce UV damage to the skin.
3. Dietary adjustments: Increase consumption of foods rich in vitamins C and E, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, which help combat oxidation and reduce skin pigmentation. At the same time, maintain a balanced diet and avoid excessive intake of spicy or irritating foods.
4. Professional treatment: If melasma is severe, consider visiting a reputable hospital for professional treatments such as laser therapy or chemical peels (e.g., fruit acid peels). These treatments can effectively reduce skin pigmentation and improve melasma.
