The treatment methods for tinea manuum/pedis mainly include topical therapy, systemic therapy, and combined therapy. Topical therapy is the first choice; commonly used medications include imidazoles such as bifonazole and miconazole. Different formulations are selected according to the clinical type, applied externally once or twice daily, with a treatment course of 4–6 weeks. For hyperkeratotic-type tinea manuum/pedis or severe cases, as well as patients with poor adherence to topical medications, systemic therapy—oral antifungal drugs such as itraconazole and terbinafine—can be employed in the absence of contraindications. Additionally, to enhance therapeutic effectiveness and reduce recurrence rates, combination therapy using different types of antifungal agents can be adopted, including combinations of topical with topical or topical with systemic therapies. Patients with tinea manuum/pedis should select appropriate treatment methods under a physician's guidance and maintain good personal hygiene, keeping the affected areas clean and dry to promote recovery.
