Symptoms of Achilles Tendinitis
Disease description:
Recently, I noticed severe pain in my Achilles tendon area, so I went to the hospital for an examination because I was afraid I might have developed Achilles tendinitis. I would like to ask the doctor: what are the symptoms of Achilles tendinitis?

Achilles tendinitis is an inflammation of the Achilles tendon, with main symptoms including:
1. Pain in the back of the ankle (Achilles tendon area), which is usually more noticeable when getting up in the morning or at the beginning of activities. The pain may lessen as activity continues, but it can worsen after excessive use.
2. A feeling of tightness or sharp pain in the Achilles tendon during movement, especially while running, jumping, or climbing stairs.
3. Possible local swelling, making the Achilles area sensitive or painful to touch.
4. Tenderness around the Achilles tendon; in severe cases, hard nodules or lumps may even be felt.
If symptoms persist or worsen, prompt medical attention is advised.
