What causes pain on the inner side of the thigh?
Disease description:
Female, 28 years old. Recently, she has been experiencing pain on the inner side of the thigh. What could be the possible causes of pain on the inner side of the thigh?

Pain in the inner thigh may include the following causes:
1. Muscle strain: Overexertion or improper exercise may cause strain of the vastus medialis or adductor muscles, resulting in pain and swelling.
2. Avascular necrosis of the femoral head: Long-term alcohol consumption or use of certain medications, such as steroids, may reduce blood supply to the femoral head, causing pain.
3. Arthritis: Conditions such as osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis can cause joint pain in the inner thigh.
In addition, sciatica, varicose veins, growing pains, and medial collateral ligament injury of the thigh may also cause pain in the inner thigh.
If the pain persists or is accompanied by other symptoms (such as fever, swelling, or limited movement), prompt medical attention is advised.
