I still haven't recovered from being a small three-positive (HBV carrier) recently. Will this affect pregnancy?

HBV small triple positive refers to a condition in which the blood of a hepatitis B virus (HBV) carrier tests positive for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), hepatitis B e antibody (HBeAb), and hepatitis B core antibody (HBcAb).

A patient may become pregnant if liver function is normal, the liver's morphology and structure are unremarkable, and there are no significant signs of cirrhosis or ascites. However, prior to conception, it is necessary to undergo related examinations including liver function tests, HBV-DNA testing, and color ultrasound of the liver. These indicators should be monitored regularly throughout pregnancy. Antiviral therapy may be required when necessary to reduce viral load and decrease the risk of mother-to-child transmission. At the same time, newborns should promptly receive the hepatitis B vaccine and hepatitis B immunoglobulin after birth to effectively prevent vertical transmission.

Pregnancy for individuals with HBV small triple positive should be approached with caution and must be managed and treated under the guidance of a physician.
