Nocturnal emission is a normal physiological phenomenon, especially for adolescent and adult males. It usually occurs during sleep, known as "nocturnal emission," and sometimes without dreams. Nocturnal emission is a natural way for the body to expel sperm, particularly when there has been a prolonged period without sexual activity or masturbation. This does not indicate any health problems, nor does it imply abnormal sexual function.

If nocturnal emissions occur too frequently, such as multiple times a week or every night, or are accompanied by discomfort symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, or soreness and weakness in the waist and knees, it may indicate underlying health issues, such as inflammation of the reproductive organs, phimosis, or redundant foreskin. In such cases, prompt medical attention is recommended.
