How to differentiate between prickly heat and eczema
Disease description:
Recently, small bumps have appeared on my skin, and I suspect it might be eczema. How can heat rash and eczema be differentiated?

Heat rash and eczema can be differentiated in several aspects:
1. Causes: Heat rash is primarily caused by hot and humid weather, leading to blocked sweat glands; eczema, on the other hand, may be triggered by multiple factors, including genetic predisposition, allergies, sunlight exposure, and high temperatures.
2. Affected Areas: Heat rash commonly occurs in areas prone to sweating and friction, such as the neck, chest, back, and head; eczema can develop on any part of the body, especially the face, forehead, eyebrows, and behind the ears.
3. Rash Appearance: Heat rash is categorized into three types—red rash, clear fluid-filled rash, and pus-filled rash—with relatively uniform rash morphology, such as red papules or small white blisters; eczema presents with more varied skin lesions, including erythema, papules, vesicles, erosion, and crusting.
4. Seasonality: Heat rash frequently occurs in summer, particularly in hot and humid environments; eczema can occur throughout the year and may sometimes recur or worsen in winter.
