Effective treatment for thrombocytopenic purpura mainly includes pharmacological therapy, surgical intervention, and other adjunctive therapies. In terms of drug treatment, first-line agents are glucocorticoids such as prednisone and dexamethasone, which reduce capillary permeability, suppress the production of platelet antibodies, and decrease platelet destruction. For patients with severe bleeding, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) or platelet transfusions may be considered for emergency management. Additionally, rituximab, thrombopoietin (TPO), TPO receptor agonists (e.g., eltrombopag), and immunosuppressive agents (e.g., cyclosporine) can be used in refractory cases. If pharmacological treatment proves ineffective or is not tolerated, splenectomy may be considered. Throughout the treatment process, attention should also be given to the patient's overall condition, employing comprehensive management strategies to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
