1. Physiological factors: such as muscle fatigue due to excessive exercise or physical labor, or increased neuromuscular excitability caused by mental tension or anxiety.
2. Environmental factors: cold stimulation may trigger muscle spasms, manifesting as muscle twitching.
3. Nutritional factors: when the body lacks calcium, neuromuscular excitability also increases, leading to muscle twitching.
4. Disease-related factors: neurological diseases such as motor neuron disease, multiple peripheral neuropathy, and brain disorders such as epilepsy can all cause muscle twitching.
5. Localized allergy: contact with allergens locally may cause allergic reactions, presenting as abnormal sensations including muscle twitching.
