Dr. He Haochen
Liuwei Dihuang Wan is a classic traditional Chinese medicine formula, primarily composed of six medicinal ingredients: prepared rehmannia root (Shudihuang), cornus fruit (Shanzhuyu), Chinese yam (Shanyao), water plantain (Zexie), Indian bread (Fuling), and tree peony bark (Danpi). Its main function is to nourish yin and supplement the kidneys, and it is suitable for symptoms caused by kidney yin deficiency, such as dizziness, tinnitus, weakness and soreness of the lower back and knees, night sweats, and heat in the palms and soles. Liuwei Dihuang Wan is appropriate for a relatively wide age range but is generally intended for adults, especially middle-aged and elderly individuals, as kidney function may gradually decline with age, leading to manifestations of kidney yin deficiency. However, young people who exhibit symptoms of kidney yin deficiency, such as those caused by excessive fatigue or unregulated sexual activity, may also be suitable for its use.
